Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas is reportedly considering selling Daniel Amartey, according to sources in Turkey.

In addition to Amartey, the club is also contemplating the sale of eight other players: Vincent Aboubakar, Jean Onana, Valentin Rosier, Omar Colley, Javi Montero, Arthur Masuaku, Ersin Destanoğlu, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Ante Rebic.

The Ghanaian international had limited playing time last season, making only 18 appearances as Besiktas finished sixth, 46 points behind champions Galatasaray.

Despite having two years left on his contract, the 29-year-old fell out of favour and did not feature in the final matches of the season.

Besiktas is looking to revamp their squad in a bid to compete for titles again, which requires offloading the mentioned players.

Having won the Turkish Cup, Besiktas will participate in next season’s Europa League qualifiers.

Before joining Besiktas last summer, Amartey spent seven years at Leicester City, moving to the Turkish side after being released by Leicester City in 2023.
