Ghana international, Kwame Poku has expressed his readiness to commence the new chapter of his career with Algerian giants USM Alger.

The striker after agreeing to join the club last month was on Tuesday officially unveiled after passing his mandatory medical examination.

Speaking to the media team of USM Alger at the unveiling, Kwame Poku has revealed that prior to making the decision to join the side, he was chased by a number of clubs as well.

“It’s true I have a lot of offers from different clubs but there are a lot of things involved that is why I chose this club [USM Alger]. After I had offers from other clubs, I didn’t want to go away from Kotoko,” the striker said.

Kwame Poku continued, “Because they [Kotoko] were a motivation to me and they told me that USM Alger will really help me develop myself and to also push me as a player. That is why I chose USM Alger.”

Playing for Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, the highly-rated attacker managed to score seven goals.

He hopes to immediately hit the ground running at the new club.
