Most parts of Ghana are expected to experience rain with occasional thunderstorms tonight according to the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet).

In its 24-hour forecast issued Wednesday evening, June 26, GMet predicted: "rain with occasional thunderstorms is forecast to affect most places of the country tonight."

Cities across the southern half such as Accra, Cape Coast and Takoradi are forecast to see rains between 30-60% probability this evening with temperatures around 26°C.

Coastal areas like Axim can expect thunderstorms with a 60% chance of occurrence and temperatures of 26°C as well.

Central regions will also experience similar conditions according to Prince O. Koduah, the duty forecaster at GMet.

Mr. Koduah noted Kumasi, Obuasi and Ho will also have "thunderstorms with a 40-60% probability" tonight and temperatures around 26-27°C.

Farther north, thunderstorms are anticipated over places such as Tamale, Bole and Damongo with probabilities between 40-60% and temperatures of around 29°C.
