NPP has the men, the capabilities to break the 8 – Retired COP George Alex Mensah

Retired Commissioner of Police (COP), Mr. George Alex Mensah has described the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the best party to develop Ghana.

Speaking to Accra-based Asaase Radio in an interview, he said he is confident the NPP will win the 2024 general elections to break the 8, insisting that the party has the men and capabilities to do so.

“I know because we have the men, we have the capabilities, we have a good mind for this country, comparing other political parties. I see the NPP as the best political party that can help this country,” COP George Alex Mensah said.

He said the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy by the NPP will do the party a lot of good in next year’s general elections.

According to him, Ghanaians should be assured that government is taking steps to address the current challenges facing the country.

“For now, if for nothing at all, you all know what the government is doing to overcome the challenges, and at least we still have free SHS, so the number of people that were paying their fees has reduced, now you don’t pay.

“So, nobody comes to worry you that I have not paid my child’s school fees. We want that thing to continue, we don’t want anybody to come and change it so that people will be calling us for SHS fees again,” COP George Alex Mensah (rtd) said.

Meanwhile, the retired policeman who is one of the officers caught on tape plotting against Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is planning to contest as Member of Parliament for Bekwai constituency though he failed to mention the political party ticket but it was obvious it is the New Patriotic Party.
