Author Vida Anagblah, popularly known as Queen Della, has described her newly released memoir, Stolen Childhood, as a bold and unfiltered account of survival, resilience, and the will to rise above life’s harshest realities.
Speaking to BEATWAVES, Queen Della said while many books are written purely for entertainment, Stolen Childhood was crafted to educate, inspire, and transform.
“Stolen Childhood was not simply about documenting memories. It was about telling a story that many people live but few have the courage to share,” she noted. “Through its pages, readers get a window into my early life — the struggles, challenges, and emotional battles that shaped my journey.”
According to her, she was denied the carefree childhood every child deserves. Instead of innocence and security, she encountered hardships that forced her to grow up too quickly.
“Those experiences left lasting impressions, but they also planted the seeds of strength, perseverance, and determination that would later define my life,” she added.
The memoir takes readers on an emotional journey through adversity, loss, resilience, and hope, offering a raw and honest reflection on overcoming life’s obstacles. Its themes, she said, resonate with people from all backgrounds.
One of the book’s most striking qualities is its authenticity. For many readers, it stands as proof that difficult beginnings do not have to dictate one’s future.
“Resilience can emerge from hardship, and hope can survive even in the darkest moments,” she said.
For Queen Della, Stolen Childhood represents more than a literary milestone — it is a story of healing, courage, and turning personal pain into a source of hope for others.
“Even when a childhood is marked by pain, a future filled with purpose and possibility can still be built,” she emphasized.
Stolen Childhood is currently available on Amazon.
