The Eastern Corridor Road Project is a National Road N2 that starts at Tema Roundabout through Daboya - Mankarigu - Wiase, including the Oti Region, Damanko - Bimbila - Yendi Road, Nyandi - Nakpanduri and ends in Kalungugu, the northeastern border with Burkina Faso, a distance of 695,6 km.

The Eastern Corridor Road Project is expected to provide the following benefits to the people of Ghana:

Enhanced transportation system that will promote Ghana’s ports and corridors, boost socio-economic development and facilitate domestic and regional trade and integration, improve the road network and reduce travel time and

reduce the cost of transportation.
Others are: to improve access to social services such as healthcare and education, improve access to markets for farmers and traders,

enhance regional trade and integration, reduce congestion on the roads and improve the quality of life for people living in the communities along the corridor.

Former President John Mahama of Ghana has made promises to complete the Eastern Corridor road project during his tenure. The Eastern Corridor road is a major infrastructure project in Ghana that aims to improve transportation and connectivity in the eastern part of the country. The road project has faced delays and challenges over the years, leading to calls for its completion to enhance economic development and improve the livelihoods of people living in the region.

H.E. John Dramani Mahama the NDCflag-bearer for the 2024 elections in Ghana, has pledged to prioritise the completion of the Eastern Corridor road when elected.

He highlighted the importance of infrastructure development in fostering economic growth and creating opportunities for the people of Ghana. Mahama's promise to complete the Eastern Corridor road reflects his commitment to addressing the infrastructure needs of the country and improving the overall quality of life for Ghanaians.
