VGMA: 'It’s not just about your GHC1,000 VIP ticket, cheer the artistes when you attend events' — Franky 5 to patrons

Ghanaian radio presenter, Frank Kwabena Owusu, popularly known as Franky5, has advised music lovers attending events to cheer performing artistes up.

Speaking on GTV Breakfast's VGMA Unpacked segment, Franky 5 emphasized the importance of supporting artists during their performances, saying cheering artists while they perform is a sign of appreciating them for their work.

“Artists are cheered to appreciate them for their good work. Those who are there to have fun must be put in front to cheer our artists if those in the VIP stands are not willing to cheer them up. I could literally hear about five hands clapping when the MC told the crowd to cheer the artists up. E no be about your GHC 1,000 VIP Ticket you dey buy oo, cheer the artists when you attend events.” he lamented

Kwabena Owusu’s advice comes in the wake of the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), where several people in the VIP stands were not cheering the artists up during their performances.

The VGMA is an annual music awards event in Ghana that recognizes the achievements of musicians in the country.

The event attracts a large number of music lovers who come to support their favourite artistes.
