People get respect when they deserve it; and as we know, great people don’t force or ask people to give them respect, the honor comes to them. Akufo Addo's bad habit of asking chiefs to stand up and shake hands with him is becoming embarrassing and annoying. The current leader of Ghana, who claims to be a Human Rights advocate, is the worst of all leaders and a man, who has no respect for Ghanaians or the Constitution, yet, wherever he goes, he wants people to praise, adore, and respect him.

Respect is an attitude that conveys appreciation for the positive aspects of someone else's character as well as their accomplishments. Along with self-esteem, respect for others, and mutual respect, is a quality traits of a person's basic needs. A leader can’t force people to respect him; you’ll earn that honor if you deserve it. Akufo Addo is known for his flattery, deceit, falsehoods, and hypocrisy, however, despite his abuse of power and the violations of people's rights, he still wants to be respected by others.

The tribal bigots, who lack vision and the ignorant, often attack people, such as Kevin Taylor and Twene Jonas, for disrespecting Akufo Addo. The question is who would respect a man who doesn’t have respect for his country’s citizens? Of all the Ghanaian leaders, it is only Akufo Addo who has been publicly disgraced and insulted by students or the youth because he is not intelligent enough to acknowledge that his greed, incompetence, laziness, and corruption, are affecting the people.

Even though everything in Ghana has failed, including, businesses, investments, and the economy, amid the high rate of unemployment and inflation that are pushing people into depression or early death, Akufo Addo will come and tell Ghanaians that the country's economy is doing better than it was under the NDC. Who in their right mind would respect such a leader? The chiefs he is pressuring to stand and greet him are aware that he doesn't deserve their standing because he disobeys the law.

Respect is something that people give to those who deserve it, as far as I'm aware, Akufo Addo doesn't deserve it because he doesn't respect anyone. Respected people have particular traits, mostly fighting injustice for the good of humanity. Akufo Addo hasn’t got any of these special traits to inspire respect for him. Although he claims to be a human rights advocate, he is among the African leaders who continue to misuse their position of authority to take advantage of the poor Ghanaians.

Ken Ofori-Atta, Mahamudu Bawumia, and Akufo Addo gained power by deceit, therefore, they don’t respect Ghanaians. A government that respects the people would not lie to them about creating 2.5 million jobs when it’s not true. The aforementioned politicians utilized deception to destroy John Mahama's life by calling him corrupt and incompetent. Akufo Addo told the people to give him the authority to serve them better and when he had it, he destroyed the nation. Which sane person will respect him?

Ghana under John Mahama, was far better than the carnage perpetrated by Akufo Addo, Bawumia, Ken Ofori-Atta, and Jean Mensa. When I talk about how Ghana's economy has collapsed, I always bring up Jean Mensa as she shares some of the blame for the catastrophe that has befallen the country. She helped with the election fraud in both 2016 and 2020, which is what drove Ghana to this impoverished situation and made their widespread corruption the people's burden.

Akufo Addo, in my opinion, doesn't find anything admirable in himself, and his foolish pride and deceit are holding back his respect, therefore, he wants to fight for it. Who in his right mind would respect a president who promised to fight illicit mining when he is one of the key factors behind it? Who among Ghanaians has psychological problems to respect or give support to Akufo Addo, who, despite his campaign promises to combat corruption, actually encourages it?

How can I appreciate a leader who put fifty-eight million dollars into a foundationless cathedral? More significantly, will any rational person accept a president who destroys a community-serving hospital while lacking the funds to construct a new one? Even after wrecking businesses, lives, and Ghana, Akufo Addo still demands respect. The president is a despot, so if he wants to be respected by chiefs, he must first respect the laws of Ghana and himself because his corrupt life has taken its toll on Ghana.

Everybody needs to feel important to those around them at some point in their lives, but Akufo Addo isn't deserving of respect. He can get by on his conceit, sloth, and voracious desire for corruption, but he cannot make others appreciate him. Since I am well familiar with him, it is appropriate for me to write on March 30, 2022, the post titled "By Force President, By Force E-Levy, Everything About Akufo Addo Is By Force."

Which team do you think has the higher chance of winning the 2024 elections?
