The National Communications Director of the NPP, Richard Ahiagba has challenged the competence of the opposition NDC following the party’s latest changes in parliamentary leadership.

On Tuesday, January 24, the opposition party announced some changes in its leadership in Parliament.

The Ranking Member on Finance, Mr. Cassiel Ato Forson is taking over from Mr. Haruna Iddrisu as the Minority Leader.

The Minority Chief Whip, Hon. Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka has also been replaced with Mr. Kwame Agbodza.

However, the changes did not sit well with the Asawase MP, Hon. Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka took to his Facebook page complaining that the leadership took the decision without consulting the caucus.

“Someone should tell some of the national executives [of the NDC] that they cannot choose our parliamentary leadership without consulting the caucus," read the former Chief Whip’s post.

In reaction, the NPP spokesperson posited that the NDC cannot be trusted for managing the country since it could not even handle its internal affairs competently.

He seized the opportunity to court Ghanaians’ support for the ruling NPP, claiming they are the best party to redeem the nation.

“Very interesting that the NDC Headquarters changed the leadership of its Parliamentary Party sans consultation. Straight from the horse's mouth. This is evidence that the NDC is all talk and no action. Charity begins at home. Support the NPP to deliver," read his tweet dated Tuesday, January 24.
