Education Dormaa East:  Some selected schools take delivery of 180 dual desks

The Dormaa East District Assembly in collaboration with the current Member of Parliament for the Area has through the District Education Directorate distributed 180 Dual Desks to 15 basic schools to aid teaching and learning in beneficial areas.

The Acting DCE Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman as well as the Member of Parliament Hon. Paul Akwesi Apraku Twum- Barima both did the presentation at the forecourt of the District Assembly last Friday following an earlier request by the Education Directorate for the intervention to forestall some academic challenges they were facing.

In a submission, the Hon Member of Parliament who promised more of the desk, reiterated how important the education sector is to the development of every economy and for that matter the development of the Dormaa east District.

He expressed his readiness to support the education of his people anytime within his power when directorate or Assembly calls on him to ensure its vibrancy and efficiency.

He added also that His Excellency President Akufo Addo’s government is bent on improving the education sector and he is making sure every child benefit from education hence the introduction of the free SHS and other packages.

The MP advised that Ghanaians rally after the President with all maximum cooperation to enable his intent yield positively.

The DCE, Hon Agyeman, used the opportunity to remind heads of the various schools to continue to support the government in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic out rightly.

He disabused the misconception surrounding the COVID vaccines and encourage all to do well and take the vaccine when the opportunity offers itself.

The beneficial heads at the handing over event expressed their gratefulness for the gesture.
