Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has set the tone for his side’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Group L encounter against England, insisting supporters should expect a high-quality spectacle at the Gillette Stadium.
Both teams head into the match level on three points, and Queiroz described the meeting as one that fits the grandeur of the global stage, stressing his team’s commitment to delivering an engaging performance.
“Trust me. Huge entertainment on the pitch. Huge entertainment,” Queiroz said.
“That’s our job. To create entertainment. We belong to the entertainment business. This is our duty and our obligation on behalf of Ghana to create entertainment," he added.
The veteran tactician added that England would approach the contest with similar intent, setting the stage for an open and competitive encounter in Foxborough.
“The English team is going to do the same. We’re going to fight, we’re going to play, we’re going to enjoy,” he said.
Queiroz further expressed confidence that the fixture would leave a lasting impression on fans.
“It will be a wonderful game. I guarantee you there will be memories and hearts of people after the game finishes.”
Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 GMT, with Ghana aiming for a positive result that would strengthen their position in Group L ahead of their final group-stage fixture on June 27 in Philadelphia.
A strong showing would also move the Black Stars a step closer to a long-awaited return to the World Cup knockout rounds, last achieved in 2010.
