Italian Serie A side, Fiorentina has announced the departure of Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan, ending his four-year tenure with the club.

The 31-year-old leaves following the expiration of his contract, which he signed when he joined Fiorentina in August 2020. Both parties have mutually agreed to part ways.

Duncan, who made 126 appearances and scored six goals for Fiorentina, is now seeking a new club during the summer transfer window.

In the past season, he contributed two goals and five assists in 41 matches across all competitions and played a crucial role in helping the team reach the UEFA Europa Conference League final, where they were ultimately defeated by Olympiacos.

Having spent most of his career in Italy, Duncan has played for several clubs, including the youth team of Inter Milan, Livorno, Sampdoria, Sassuolo, and Cagliari.

On the international stage, he earned 10 caps for the Black Stars of Ghana, debuting in November 2012, and has since retired from international play.
