Eric Alagidede, the General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, acknowledged the anticipated difficulty of their FA Cup final against Bofoakwa Tano.

The two Bono clubs faced off on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, where Nsoatreman clinched victory with a 5-4 win in the penalty shootout.

In an interview, Alagidede remarked that despite Bofoakwa's relegation to the Division One League, they expected a challenging match against their regional rivals.

"Bofoakwa Tano are relegated from the Ghana Premier League but I keep saying their relegation is about managerial issues but they have a very good team," he told Asempa FM.

"We knew it would be a difficult game and when Bofoakwa scored, it made it even more difficult for our team but I was optimistic we were going to win the game and we fought hard to lift the trophy," he added.

The game ended 1-1 after regulation time. Bofoakwa Tano took the lead in the 21st minute with Richard Dzikoe scoring from close range, assisted by Ali Alhassan's precise cross. Nsoatreman FC equalized late in the second half when Sadat Mohammed capitalized on a goalkeeper's mistake with a long-range shot.

As FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman FC will receive a prize of Ghc180,000 and will represent Ghana in the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup.
