Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton, says they must put up a good performance in their first two games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana will host Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium on November 17 before travelling to face Comoros on November 21 at the Stade de Moroni.
While pointing out that it is practically impossible to get the best results for the team, the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager highlighted the importance of the upcoming games.
“It’s for me as coach to learn from our players’ performances and how we can improve, because ultimately you’re now playing competition games – two World Cup qualifiers," he told BBC Africa.
“They’re two games that we must do well in. Ultimately, I will work as hard as I always do to try to get things the best way that we can.”
Following back-to-back losses to Mexico and USA last month the heat on Hughton has turned up markedly and earlier today, the veteran coach met the Ghana Football Association Executive Council to discuss his future as head coach of the Black Stars.
Chris Hughton and his charges will open next week in Accra and will hope to return to winning ways.
