Prince Tagoe Picks World Cup Appearance, Goal King Award As His Best Achievements

Ghana international, Prince Tagoe has indicated that playing at the world cup and winning the goal king award in the Ghana Premier League are his greatest achievements.

The former Hearts of Oak striker was part of the historic Black Stars team that played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa where the team reached the quarter-finals.

Though he has played for clubs outside the West African country, Prince Tagoe was best known during his time in the Ghana Premier League where he earned the nickname, ‘The Prince of Goals’.

Reflecting on a career that looks set to end, the forward has opened up on his best achievements.

“Going to the World Cup is one of my topmost things in my career, attached to my C.V…At the end of the day, that’s my biggest achievement”, Prince Tagoe said in an interview with TV3’s Juliet Bawuah.

The striker added, “When it comes to the local league, winning the goal king is also one of my topmost achievements in my football career.”

The 33-year-old has had stints in the Bundesliga as well as in Saudi Arabia. He has 36 caps for the Black Stars with 7 goals to his name.
