Speaking during a stakeholder's tour of the facility in Accra on Tuesday, Joseph Hayford, lead consultant for the ARC project, said the facility, funded by Delico Achimota Ghana Limited, is expected to create first-class congenial shopping environment where valued customers and renowned retail brands and traders would come together under one creative environment.

'The centre has quality materials and workmanship that have been skillfully brought together in design and execution to achieve this landmark. It's design is quite different in how it opens its corridors to congenial climate, delivering an enjoyable and refreshing open air feel in parts and making for a more tropical and energy-efficient environment. This is indeed a triumph in careful innovative design,' Mr Hayford stated.

Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA) Chief Executive, Kwao Sackey, in an interview with BUSINESS GUIDE, said the mall would increase economic activities in the area as well as provide jobs for the people.

Superintendent Theodore Hlormenu, Mile 7 Police Commander, after inspecting the security gadgets of the mall, pledged to complement the private security at the mall.

'The Achimota Retail Centre has been well designed. We have had a tour of their security room and their CCTV cameras have well been extended to cover four corners of the mall. We the local police would coordinate with the private security to ensure that the environment would be free of crime. We would also be available to give them the maximum support if the need arises,' Superintendent Hlormenu noted.
