The Member of Parliament for Ashaiman , Hon Alfred Kwame Agbesi is reportedly trembling in fear and panic over reports that a more appealing parliamentary aspirant has emerged as the people’s choice to take over the Ashaiman parliamentary seat from him.

The shaky MP, according to credible sources close to him, told The Crystal Clear Lens that since the yet to be declared ambition of one Emmanuel Max-Voy preferably called Martin Luther King Jr. to contest the parliamentary seat of the Ashaiman constituency, Hon Agbesi has become restless fear stricken .

The sources further revealed that the Deputy Majority Leader in parliament has already on several occasions went to the offices of the young and fired-brand businessman, lowered his kneels onto hard tiled-floor in tears to beg him to step-down for him(Agbesi) to go for his last term.

The scouts of the paper can confirm that, the youngman who is a successful businessman and owner of Martin Luther King Junior and basic schools scattered all over the Ashaiman Municipality boldly told the panic-tortured and restless MP to wipe his tears for power off and prepare for the battle when the party opens nominations for the primaries.

“As many political pundits and social commentators are already tipping the 2017 Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, to be one that would showcase the country's popular personalities on both sides of the political divide, having Emmanuel Max-Voy in the August House will properly represent the people of Ashaiman when it comes to intellectual debates”, one of our sources boasted.

The source continued that the likes of Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the former ace broadcaster with Joy Fm and Mr. George Andah, formerly of Mobile Telecommunication Network, (MTN) all stripping off their long suspected neutral clothes and now running for Parliamentary seats on the ticket of New Patriotic Party (NPP) means that the people of Ashaiman need a competent and highly knowledgeable person in parliament.

The Crystal clear Lens can authoritatively reveal without the slightest doubt that, Mr.Max-Voy one of the big intellectuals in Ashaiman, though, he’s yet to publicly declare his intention, he has firmly laced a new political boots outside his usual business shoes to give Hon Agbesi a hotter chase for his money on who becomes the next Ashaiman MP.

The Ashaiman Constituency seat which is currently held by Hon. Agbesi is one of the safe seats that has been held by the ruling NDC since 1992.

The seat was won by Franklin Winfred K Aheto of the NDC in 1992, he held onto it until Hon Emmanuel Kinsford Kwesi Teye of NPP took over in 2000 as a result of serious internal wrangling among the membership of the NDC in the area. Hon. Alfred Kwame Agbesi took over the seat back for the NDC in the 2004 elections and has held onto it till date.

According to the sources, Mr Max-Voy’s aspiration to contest the seat, was not borne by his own desires to enter the Ghana's parliament but he has to succumb to numerous request from his constituencies and some topmost men in the constituency who believed he has a lot to offer to the Ghana's second most powerful political institution.

This means that, Mr Max-Voy known as 'Martin Luther King Jr.' will be smiling to parliament when he seals through the NDC primaries which many are confident it will be cool choke for him.

When Mr Max-Voy was contacted to confirm or deny the position of his people, he declined to comment, stating that at the appropriate time, he will make his intentions known to the members of the Constituency.

He, however, admitted that pressure is being mounted on him by the youth to contest the 2016 parliamentary race on the ticket of the NDC.
