Politics 2024 Elections: Don’t pay attention to prophecies — Very Rev. Polley-Johnston
MON, 01 JUL 2024 LISTEN

The Superintendent Minister for the Ayeduase Circuit of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Very Rev. Stephen Polley-Johnston, has urged Ghanaians to disregard politically motivated prophecies predicting the outcomes of the 2024 general elections.

According to Rev. Polley-Johnston, many of these prophecies are influenced by personal political affiliations rather than divine revelation, and are designed to attract unnecessary attention. He emphasized that contradictory prophecies from different pastors regarding the same election cannot both be from God.

Former Presidents John Mahama of the NDC and the NPP flagbearer have both been declared winners by various Ghanaian prophets. Rev. Polley-Johnston asserted that such practices foster public animosity and should be replaced with prophecies focused on the development and growth of God's Kingdom.

The minister made these remarks during the 10th Anniversary celebration of the Ayeduase Circuit of the Methodist Church of Ghana in the Oforikrom constituency.

Rev. Polley-Johnston further advised Ghanaians to engage in peaceful and respectful voting practices. He urged citizens to avoid any actions that could incite violence before or after the elections, stressing the importance of maintaining and consolidating the country's democratic path.

Which team do you think has the higher chance of winning the 2024 elections?
