Free SHS policy: Bill or no Bill, no man or woman can cancel it — Kabila

James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly known as Kabila, has stated that no leader in Ghana can repeal the free Senior High School (SHS) policy introduced by the Akufo-Addo administration.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' morning show, Kabila highlighted the benefits the free SHS policy has provided to many Ghanaians.

He asserted that "the scenario where someone might try to cancel it won't happen."

His comments were in reaction to discussions about a proposed free SHS bill to be laid before Parliament.

Kabila made it clear that regardless of whether a bill is introduced or not, the free SHS policy is here to stay.

"Whether there is a bill or no bill, free SHS has come to stay. There is nobody in Ghana today, man or woman, who can cancel it," he stated.

Kabila also shared a testimony from a taxi driver who praised the policy for allowing his child to become the first in their family to attend university and pursue a graduate degree.
