NSS releases pin codes for 2024/25 mandatory service deployment
LISTEN

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released Pin codes for 133,476 final year tertiary students who are expected to partake in the country's mandatory one-year national service programme for the 2024/2025 service year.

In a statement, the Executive Director of NSS, Osei Assibey Antwi announced that prospective national service personnel can log onto the Scheme's website - www.nss.gov.gh - from today, June 19, to retrieve their pin codes using their school index numbers and dates of birth.

Mr Antwi advised, "Prospective service personnel would then be required to proceed to any ADB Bank Ltd. branch with their PIN Codes and pay GHe40.00, or may opt to use the MTN MoMo service to make a payment of GHe41.00 to activate the enrolment process."

Registration is scheduled to close on Friday, July 19, 2024.

The NSS urged all prospective service personnel to complete the registration process carefully to avoid errors that could affect their deployment placements later in the year.

"Management wishes to urge all prospective national service personnel to complete the enrolment process carefully to prevent any errors that could negatively impact the deployment exercise," Mr Antwi cautioned in the statement.

Upon successful retrieval of PIN codes and completion of enrollment, the over 133,000 students will be posted across both public and private sector organizations nationwide for their obligatory one-year role upon graduation.
