Terrorism Is the True Meaning of Mahama’s 24-Hour Economy

The National Democratic Congress-sponsored activities, aimed at stalling the hitherto nonesuch development projects and programs of the present Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), were about to completely escape the attention and the mnemonic data of Sincerely Yours, until he recently chanced across a banner news headline report captioned “Court threatens to call second accused to testify if NDC's Ofosu Ampofo fails to appear” Modernghana.com 4/26/24). The report had to do with the widely leaked audiotape of a party-orchestrated agenda to destabilize the country by the corporate leadership of the country’s main opposition political party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the wake of the party’s seismic loss of the watershed 2016 General Election, in particular the 2016 Presidential Election, if memory serves Sincerely Yours accurately.

At the time of the unearthing of the aforesaid audiotape, it was Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo who was the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress which, according to the twice-defeated, one-term former President John “Brazil Embraer Caper” Dramani Mahama, has absolutely no institutional match or competitor in the country, when it comes to the fomenting and the swift and vicious unleashing of violence and the criminal execution of terrorist activities. Ever since Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo and his comrades in the heinous perpetration of subversive acts of wanton criminality were indicted and arraigned before an Accra High Court, proceedings have, characteristically, been inflected with fits and starts and a virtual standstill, primarily as a result of the intimidation tactics perennially used by the “revolutionary” leadership of the late Chairman Jeremiah “Jerry” John Rawlings-founded political party that has been systematically used to nullify the integrity and the image and the reputation of our beloved nation’s judicial system.

Anyway, the aforesaid audiotape which went viral globally, was reportedly sent to Israel by operatives of our National Security Establishment for verification and authentication and was, allegedly, scientifically and forensically proven to have originated from the National Headquarters of the country’s main opposition National Democratic Congress. We are further reliably informed that ever since this case was called by an Accra High Court Judge, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo who was apparently shipped out of the country by his associates to avoid facing the full music of judicial accountability, has been cooling his legs offshore, on the dubious grounds of ill-health, for more than a year now and remains outside the country, supposedly undergoing a comprehensive medical treatment.

Now, this is rather absurd, in view of the fact that there are dozens of hospitals and clinics dotted all across the country that are fully equipped with competent healthcare providers, including the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) and the state-of-the-art University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC), that could have readily taken adequate care of a criminally indicted Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo. There is also an interesting narrative of jocular proportions that is starkly inherent in the fact that it was in a strategic attempt to better the chances of the heavily criminally tainted National Democratic Congress that inspired the decision by the extant General-Secretary of the latter political establishment, namely, Mr. Johnson “The Bui Dam Woyome” Asiedu-Nketia, to concoct a story about Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo’s having conspired and colluded with some unnamed key operatives of the ruling New Patriotic Party to cause the epic crashing out of the 2020 Presidential Election of The NDC’s Serial and Dynastic Presidential Candidate, John Mahama, for the simple reason of the former Eastern Regional Minister and, subsequently, Minister for Local Government’s hailing from the electoral stronghold of an incumbent President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, thereby causing the removal of Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo’s chairmanship of the National Democratic Congress.

In reality, it was his pathologically ravenous hunger for power that likely dictated the “revolutionary” decision by Mr. Asiedu-Nketia to quickly step up to the plate, as it were, in order to have himself literally coronated as the new National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, with an eye unmistakably set on being eventually coronated as the Serial and the Dynastic Presidential Candidate of the latter party, in the imminent event of Candidate-General John “Gnassingbe” Dramani Mahama’s being logically and condignly shoved out of the way in the offing by our beloved inscrutable Divine Providence in his profound wisdom and strategically opportune shenanigans. After all, hasn’t it been said, ad-nauseam number of times that “One good turn deserves another,” just as equally logically and condignly as “One bad turn” deserving another?

At any rate, in his latest ruling in the Ofosu-Ampofo Conspiracy to Create Mayhem Case, the presiding Accra High Court Judge – name not given in the present news report right before Sincerely Yours – Your Honor or Lordship/Ladyship has sternly warned the NDC’s National Headquarters Abongo Boys that if Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo rudely fails to appear in court to open up his judicial defense during the next scheduled court appearance date, the prime criminally indicted Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo’s coconspirator and the second accused, Mr. Anthony Kwaku Boahen, will be forced to open up his judicial defense instead. We are informed that the prime criminal suspect is due back in the country by the end of May.

Now, what makes this case quite fascinating is that the real criminal mastermind, as we all learned awhile back, is – you guessed right, Dear Reader – Candidate-General John “Ouagadougou-Nkonfem Flying” Dramani Mahama. Messrs. Ofosu-Ampofo and Kwaku Boahen may be aptly deemed to be mere proxies for the Big Cahuna himself, in a case that ought to have long promptly and summarily disqualified Yagbonwura Okogufuo Kwame Gonja from ever again gunning for the highest elective office of the land in perpetuity.
