Dear critical-reader, the question to ponder over is: Should Global North billionaires not fund a new planned green world-class refugee city in what hitherto used to be known as the Gomoa Buduburam Camp Liberia refugee settlement area, where the demolition of structures is currently ongoing? It is a viewpoint that might, at first sight, appear to be a contrarian-view, but is actually commonsensical, from a geopolitical standpoint.

There actually exists a mostly unnoticed opportunity, for the Global North countries seeking a creative way to permanently protect their nations from the world's profiteering people-smuggling syndicates (busy ripping-off millions seeking greener pastures that no longer exist in the world's wealthy nations now totally fed up with wave upon wave of economic migrants posing as refugees massing up at their borders).

All that is needed to seize that opportunity, is courage and having the political will to take all the critical steps needed to enable Global North countries to upend the business models of global people-smuggling syndicates, permanently.

The question is: Should the far-right Global North billionaires, some of whose incesant dogwhistling fuels hatred of outsiders in their societies, not, in their own collective self-interest, and for patriotic reasons, come together, to fund new planned private sector delivered climate-smart green world-class cities, able to comfortably accommodate 8 million residents, in each of the seven continents, making up the human race's shared home, our beleaguered biosphere, to which would-be queue-jumping economic migrants massing up at their borders (and illegal immigrants inside their borders), can safely be deported?

An opportunity to build such a new planned world-class African climate-smart refugee city, exists in Ghana's beautiful and bountiful Central Region - where the demolition of structures in what used be known as the Gomoa Buduburam Camp Liberia refugee settlement area, is ongoing, even as we speak.

Unlike Rwanda, Ghana is a genuine African constitutional democracy, with an established tradition of different ruling political parties handing over power, after their candidates lose presidential elections.

Ghanaians are also a warm and welcoming people, who coexist peacefully in a multi-ethnic society, in which virtually all extended family clans are made up of different ethnicities, united by ties of consanquinity and marriage, nationwide - a rarity in Africa.

It so happens, dear critical-reader, that discussions are underway to unite the feuding royal families with contesting claims for ownership of the lands that hitherto were referred to as the Gomoa Buduburam Camp Liberia refugee settlement area, to enable them jointly own a special purpose investment company to be established, and tasked with managing and unlocking hidden value in the Gomoa Buduburam traditional area, for their common longterm benefit.

The question is: Should the embassies of all the Global North nations accredited to Ghana, not work together, to make this noble goal of transforming what used to be known as the Gomoa Buduburam Camp Liberia refugee settlement area, into

a win-win on-the-ground manifested-reality - which building a new private sector delivered planned green climate-smart world-class city able to acommodate 8 million residents, would represent?
