Yaw Boateng Gyan, former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized the importance of the 2024 general elections for the party, urging former President John Dramani Mahama not to let the opportunity slip.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, Gyan expressed his belief that the prevailing hardships in the country create a favorable environment for the NDC to secure victory in the upcoming elections.

He stressed that this is a pivotal moment for the party, and Mahama, as the flagbearer, must put up a strategic and effective campaign.

"There is no doubt that Ghanaians are suffering, and everything points in the direction of the National Democratic Congress winning this year's general election, and I believe that if the NDC and its flagbearer, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, do things right, then I can assure you that the NDC will win the 2024 elections," Gyan remarked.

He cautioned that failure to secure victory would be unforgivable, as Ghanaians are looking for a change due to the perceived challenges and hardships they are facing.

"This is the time the NDC needs to bring in more experienced hands on board to help with the campaign process," he advised. Gyan emphasized the importance of engaging capable individuals who can contribute to the success of the party's campaign.

"Everyone needs to get involved; there are people who are ready to assist John Mahama to win the elections, but I don't think they will automatically turn themselves in if you don't invite them to help in the campaign.

"2024 is a must-win for the NDC, and there is no way the NDC and its leader should screw this up," he added.

He urged Mahama and the party leadership to strategize effectively, mobilize support, and present a compelling vision to the electorate.

In acknowledging the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) campaign team, Gyan expressed satisfaction with its composition, noting that the NDC should draw inspiration from it.
