Bawumia still blames Mahama for his failure but Ghanaians will hold him responsible — Bawa Mogtari

Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama has taken a swipe at NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for failing to deliver on his economic recovery promises.

The former deputy minister noted that the Vice President still blamed Mr. Manama for his failure despite being in government for the past seven years.

In a tweet on Monday, November 13, Joyce Bawa noted that Ghanaians will hold the Vice President accountable and responsible for the mess the country finds itself.

“Nearly 7 years later, you are still shouting the name of John Mahama as the reason why you have failed, abysmally, to deliver on your promises.

“Your religious and tribal politics will fail; and we the ‘hooligans’ will hold you responsible and accountable for the failed economy, the raft of corruption cases, unbridled stealing, hardships and extreme poverty caused by your reckless borrowing and useless policies,” she wrote.

The political terrain of the country has been heating up since Dr. Bawumia was chosen as the NPP flagbearer after the party’s internal polls on Saturday, November 4.

He is set to face the NDC’s John Dramani Mahama who was affirmed by the opposition party earlier this year with over 90% of votes, in what many tipped to be a most keenly contested election come December 7, 2024.
