Independent presidential candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has promised to shift Ghana away from "politics of one-upsmanship" and bring consensus-building if elected president.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, October 11, Mr. Kyerematen outlined his vision for a "Ghana where politics isn't a game of one-upmanship, but a collaborative effort for national development."

The founder of the Movement for Change political movement criticized the current system where "NPP and NDC outdo each other, fail to continue each others' projects, and prioritize comparisons between records rather than solving urgent developmental challenges."

The presidential hopeful said under his leadership, "Projects won't be initiated for election points, but for the genuine transformation of our beloved nation."

He pledged to form a "consensus government that is driven by a sustainable, National Development Agenda" focused on economic transformation, not just growth.

According to him, his Great Transformational Plan would place citizens, the private sector, and businesses at the "center of our national development efforts."

In calling for Ghanaians to join his "Movement for Change," the former Trade Minister promised to "transform Ghana together, building a nation that is not just growing, but transforming. A nation that is not just stable, but dynamic. A nation that is not just developing, but thriving."
