Benjamin Kofi Quashie, the South African National Democratic Congress Council of Elders Chair and Group Chairman for Allied Consortiums has expressed the party's commitment to delivering a message of hope to Ghanaians ahead of the 2024 elections.

Mr Quashie believes that the NDC carries a message of hope that will resonate well with the Ghanaian people.

He noted that the message aims to address the current economic challenges facing the country.

During an interview on the 'Epa Ho A Daben' show on Happy FM, Quashie acknowledged the skepticism surrounding political promises and assured that the NDC has learned valuable lessons.

He emphasized that their focus is not solely on winning elections but on delivering tangible and redeemable promises after winning in 2024.

Mr Quashie stated, "We will deliver. We've learned our lessons in opposition, and we have a leader who wants to rally everyone around to build a better Ghana that we all want together."

When questioned about the possibility of the NDC involving known members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their efforts to build a better Ghana, Mr Quashie responded positively.

He stressed that, "This is common knowledge. The Senchi consensus brought everyone on board to solicit ideas to help our country then.

“The likes of Kwame Pianim and other learned people from the opposition with regards to the economy were there", he added.

Mr Quashie further expressed the belief that former President Mahama would not ignore sensible suggestions from others alike but would embrace such ideas to shape a brighter future for Ghana.

"Like he [Mahama] says, we'll need to be patriotic. We find ourselves in a ditch, let's all come out of it together", he shared, in reference to President Mahama's all-inclusive nature.
