The Deputy Director General of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Peter Antwi-Boasiako has said there was no way Nana Akufo-Addo could have won the 2016 presidential elections had Kwabena Agyapong remained in his post as General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party.

He said, Kwabena Agyapong flamboyantly abused his position as the General Secretary by exhibiting gross disrespect.

Peter Antwi- Bosiako was speaking on Hot Digital Radio in London on the program 'Ghana’s Biggest Conversation' hosted by Kofi Marfo (Sir Richie).

Asked by the host if he played a role in the suspension of Kwabena Agyapong as the General Secretary of the party, Peter Antwi- Boasiako said even though he was not part of the aggrieved NPP members who filed a petition for his removal, he was the one who masterminded it from the UK.

"I confronted Kwabena on the phone and urged him to avoid mentioning my name as one of the petitioners, to which Kwabena responded by saying people informed him that I was one of the petitioners,” Peter added.

Peter Antwi- Bosiako also declared his unflinching support for Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia as the best choice to represent the party in the 2024 polls.

He said Bawumia has in-depth knowledge about the country’s economy than the other aspirants.

The NPP presidential hopeful, Kwabena Agyapong who was in London last year revealed to Kofi Marfo during an interview that Peter Antwi- Boasiako and two others in London orchestrated his removal.

Kwabena Agyapong said after all the evil tactics by a section of his political party members against him, he has been exonerated and has since assumed his membership position.
