The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has admitted that indeed Ghana is in moments of difficulties.

The party however wants Ghanaians to recognise that the predicaments have come about due to the impacts of the global Coronavirus pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.

In a post on social media, the Communications Director of the NPP, Richard Ahiagba has assured Ghanaians that government is aware of the hardship and acknowledges their pain.

He shares the view that despite excessive fear-mongering of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party has no proposal to make and for that matter should not be taken seriously.

“There's no denying the difficulties of our predicament brought on by the global misfortune of Covid-19 and the R-U war. The NPP & govt recognizes the pain. But what is hard to fathom is the excessive fear-mongering of the NDC as thou they have alternative proposals. Nothing,” Richard Ahiagbah shared in a post on Twitter.

Government is currently under pressure from Individual Bondholders who are rejecting its Domestic Debt Exchange Programme.

This has attracted backlash from the Minority who believe government must suspend the programme and address the concerns of the aggrieved individual bondholders.
