The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery has announced Wednesday, September 21 as a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such.
Over the years, September 21, has been set aside to mark the memorial of the former president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
In an official press release from the Interior Minister, it stated, “The general public is hereby informed that Wednesday, 21st September 2022 which marks Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”
