Police officers within the Adenta-Madina have punished pedestrians who failed to use the Madina-Adenta footbridge.

The footbridges was constructed after several demonstrations over pedestrian knockdowns.

To help stop accidents which have claimed many lives, the footbridge was constructed in 2019.

However, after their completion, some of the same residents have expressed misgivings about the long and winding nature of the bridges.

Pedestrians have refused to use the footbridge and back to the old way of risking their lives.

Several persons were arrested by the Madina Police for failing to use the footbridges but it has not deterred some recalcitrant pedestrians.

A recent video circulating online shows a military man punishing six men who tried to cross the roads without using the footbridges.
