Mauritania’s Meulfeu veil spreads across borders

In Mauritania, a dress class known as the Meulfeu has become all the rage in recent years, even spreading to other countries in the region. Colourful fabrics are wrapped around the head and body in a very particular way. Many Mauritanian women have taken to social media to show off their look - an act of emancipation in what is a deeply conservative society.
