Storm Alberto hits the coastline of the western Gulf of Mexico | DW News

Tropical Storm Alberto is the first named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season though its sustained wind speeds remained below hurricane strength. In Mexico several have been killed in its wake. Many in the drought-stricken country had hoped for rain.
