Disregard any fraudulent fuel subsidy promo going viral on social media — GOIL caution customers

The Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has warned the general public to ignore any fuel subsidy promotion being advertised online.

It noted that a recent fuel subsidy promo with a link going vital on social media is a scam.

In a press statement issued by the Corporate Affairs Department dated July 20 and made available to Modernghana News, it indicated that, “GOIL is alerting the public of a fraudulent Fuel Subsidy Promotion scheme with a link, being circulated on social media platforms."

The statement added, “The promotion encourages unsuspecting customers to join a fake trivia which will award winners a sum of GHC 500 among other freebies."

It continues “GOIL is urging the public to ignore the said Fuel Subsidy Promotion as it is a scam.”
