Lilwin's case postponed to July 29 as court awaits Attorney General's advice

The Asokore Mampong District Court has postponed the case involving actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lilwin, to July 29, 2024.

During the session on Thursday, June 27, the Police Prosecutors informed the court that the docket had been forwarded to the Attorney General’s office for review and guidance.

Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, the actor’s lawyer, stated that they are awaiting advice from the Attorney General’s Office to determine their next steps.

"The prosecution needs to establish their case before we can address any doubts raised by the Police. At this point, we are awaiting the Attorney General’s advice as per his authority," he said.

Lilwin was arrested by the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Manhyia Divisional Police Command on June 3, 2024, in connection with an accident that led to the death of a three-year-old boy.

He was later arraigned and granted bail of GH¢50,000 with two sureties.
