Agona Swedru, Nov 14, GNA- The Agona Swedru Circuit Court has sentenced a 35-year-old farmer from Agona Otwekrom to 15 years' imprisonment in hard labour for impregnating his stepdaughter.
Kojo Attah pleaded guilty to indecent sex with an explanation that it was Satan who influenced him to do that and appealed to the court to pardon him.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector H.N. Coffie told the court that the accused and Grace Arhin, the stepdaughter, live in the same house. The accused, his wife and Grace sleep in the same room.
One afternoon Attah lured the victim into the room and had sexual intercourse with her.
Chief Inspector Coffie said the accused warned Grace not reveal his conduct to any body else he would kill her.
He said about two weeks ago when they were sleeping in the night the accused again had sex with the stepdaughter.
One month ago the mother detected that her daughter is pregnant and when she questioned her, Grace mentioned Attah as the one responsible.
