Enterprise Insurance Limited (ELAC) has presented a cheque for ¢2500 to support the Joy Needy Fund.
The Joy Needy Fund is a Joy 99.7 support programme to assist the poor and disadvantaged in society.
It is funded by donations from listeners of Joy FM and philanthropists touched by the plight of the needy.
The fund recently made available over GH¢8000 to pay for surgery on two children diagnosed with severe medical conditions.
Four-year-old Morgan Amenuveve had a huge tumor on her right jaw and neck and required urgent surgery.
The other, 10-year-old Victor Doku, had an advanced form of cancer.
The Manager in charge of Broker Relations at the ELAC, Anthony Ray Amegashie, who presented the cheque on behalf of his company, said the donation was part of the company's social responsibility.
Joy FM Super Morning Show host Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah thanked ELAC for its kind gesture.
