The Municipal Chief Executive of the Madina Abokobi area, Quao Sackey has denied claims by the Madina Market Shop Owners Association that he allocated a portion of the car park in front of the market to a restaurant owner.

According to him that portion of land was allocated to the restaurant owner by the District Assembly and was not his personal decision.  In an interview Mr  Sackey said the assembly took into consideration the factors of a good drainage system, and a possible fire outbreaks among others before giving out the land

Meanwhile Assembly Man for Pantang area, Alhaji Baba Ibrahim has also rejected claims by the Madina Market and Shop Owners Association that the location of the restaurant poses a great danger to the market women and the public.
