NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
Our hardships have just been increased by five percent and when we look around the only person we can blame is John Atta Mills. He promised to keep petroleum prices to the barest minimum and also reduce it drastically but what is happening today when even the world market price is not like what the previous administration suffered.
In opposition the NDC poured venom on the Kufuor administration each time petroleum prices were increased. On numerous platforms, the then candidate Mills chastised Kufuor and his men for doing so little to cushion Ghanaians against the vicissitudes of the global oil market.
Also what is going on today in the bussiness front is apperently to say the least, deplorable and if not checked by the government it will have the potential to destrol the private sector and thereby kill all indigenouse companies in the country.
Modernghana.com Investigation cleary shows that some banks have adopted a new culture to disgrace, embarrass and destroy companies reputation by publishing their names in the dailies and even discuss on air.
Some people this reporter spoke to said the crux of the matter is that the companies defaulting in the payment of loans contracted with this banks could be traced to the door-steps of the government because many of them have executed jobs for the government without corresponding payment whatsoever as a result they are also unable to pay back loans they contracted from the banks.
Meanwhile the loans keep on attrracting interest while it is not paid but monies owed by the government to these companies if at all they are paid will not include any interest so the private company looses out in all fronts.
If indeed the government believes in partnership of the private sector for national development then it is incumbent upon government to come to the aid of the private sector companies and not allow them to be destroy by these capitalist banks. These development also drives away foreign investors because they will have reason to believe that if this could happen to Ghanaian companies then it is very much easier to happen to the foreign investors too.
