NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
Accra, July 2, GNA - Multichoice Ghana has partnered with Afric Xpress to introduce the 'txtNpay' electronic payment system to DStv subscriber which has enhanced the ease of payment of DStv subscription.

Mr. Aaron Ampofo, Operations Manager, MultiChoice Ghana told journalists in Accra on Wednesday that the use of Afric Xpress' txtNpay platform had increased collection and minimized traffic at their corporate offices and expressed the hope that more subscribers would use this facility, which is cashless, to pay their monthly subscription to enable the company focus on enriching customer care and satisfaction.

“While we are getting reports from many subscribers about the convenience of paying their bills using their phones, through txtNpay, we still have some subscribers who are yet to catch up with this amazing technology,” Mr. Ampofo said.

He said it will take a while for some people to understand that aside of the safety and convenience txtNpay introduces to DStv bill payments, the transactions are entirely traceable and therefore as guaranteed as direct cash payments.

The txtNpay wallet is an electronic stored-value account which customers can charge by buying txtNpay “electronic cash” at approved Afric Xpress partner shops, service providers and accredited txtNpay outlets to pay utility bills.

TxtNpay became the payment platform for DStv subscribers in April following a partnership between Afric Xpress and Ghana's most popular PAY TV satellite television service.

“MultiChoice is not exactly a money collection company; our core business is to manage the interests of our subscribers and sell the DStv hardware,” Anne Sackey, MultiChoice's Public Relations Manager, told journalists in April when txtNpay became one of the payment platforms for DStv subscribers, following a partnership between Afric Xpress and MultiChoice Ghana.

Meanwhile, officials at Afric Xpress say in order to make its txtNpay platform accessible to more people, it has expanded its network of outlets to about 40 across the Accra metropolis and has began extending the phone-based electronic payment service into the regions starting from Kumasi, located at Silverpharma, Silvercrest Supermarket and Elvisat service centres, and in Winneba where the txtNpay service is located at the Otoo Digital Technology Ltd.
