Kumasi, July 2, GNA – The Church of Pentecost New Tafo District Children's Movement on Wednesday donated items to the Offinso Children's Centre in the Offinso Municipality.
The items includekl shoes, used clothes, three bags of rice, toilet-rolls, cartons of milk, soaps and GH¢50.00.
Presenting the items Elder Owusu Afiriyie, Assistant Leader of the movement, said the donation formed part of the celebration of the Children's Week which aimed at encouraging children of the movement to demonstrate their commitment to the needy.
Nana Akowua Diamono, the Accountant of the Orphanage who received the items, thanked the Movement for showing care to the children and expressed the hope that other corporate bodies would learn from the children's example.
He mentioned accommodation, security, place of convenience and sponsorship as the major problems facing the home and appeal to the government to come to their aid.
