Elections Limited voter registration: Technical glitches resolved – EC
TUE, 07 MAY 2024 LISTEN

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has announced the resolution of technical issues that marred the commencement of the Limited Voter Registration exercise.

On the first day of the exercise, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the EC encountered challenges such as faulty machines and network issues, leading to delays for some prospective voters.

In a statement, the EC attributed these difficulties to internet connectivity problems in various registration centers. However, by midday, the majority of these technical issues had been rectified, enabling the registration process to proceed smoothly nationwide.

The Commission reassured the public of its commitment to monitoring the registration process closely and promptly addressing any additional challenges that may arise.

It urged all eligible applicants to seize the opportunity and register to vote in their respective districts.
