A social group, Nyansapo Advocacy Movement, comprising listeners of the Kumasi-based OTEC 102.9 FM's morning show 'Nyansapo,' donated items to the inmates of Physically Challenged Action Foundation at Offinso in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

The inmates who are mostly physically challenged persons received items including bags of rice, assorted drinks, toiletries, and bags of sachet water among others.

Speaking to Maame Boahemaa Gertrude and Asonaba Kwadwo-Wusu after the event, the Chairperson for the movement, Debora Asare said the gesture was to support the foundation and give hope to the inmates and encourage them to aspire for greatness.

She added that the donation formed part of the group's areas of focus to help the needy, and put smiles on their faces simultaneously.

“Donations like these further confirm our resolve to improve the livelihoods and living conditions of mankind and people in our immediate communities. The items donated today were contributions from the members of the movement. This is what we stand for,’’ she said.

She encouraged all listeners of the renowned radio station in Kumasi to join the advocacy group for stronger ties.

Receiving the items, Founder and President of Offinso Physically Challenged Action, Mr Sylvester Barimah Antwi expressed gratitude to the group for the kind gesture.

He described the donation as timely, adding that, the gesture will aid the smooth running of the foundation.

He appealed to the rest of the public to also visit the inmates and support them regularly.
