The Ashanti/Northern Sector Director of Ghana Post, Mr. Johnson Asante, has expressed profound admiration for the humanitarian efforts and transformative leadership of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, affectionately known as King Solomon.

In an exclusive interview with the media, Mr. Asante highlighted Otumfuo's pivotal role in the remarkable turnaround of Ghana Post.

Underlining the critical contribution of Otumfuo to Ghana Post's success story, Mr. Asante credited the monarch with steering the organization away from the brink of collapse after it was taken over from the government. He emphasized how Otumfuo's interventions, coupled with modern technology and branding strategies, revitalized the once-struggling postal service.

Despite facing challenges such as property seizures, particularly affecting the Ashanti regional branch, Mr. Asante lauded Otumfuo's timely interventions, which quelled legal disputes and paved the way for Ghana Post's resurgence.

Highlighting the tangible impact of Otumfuo's support, Mr. Asante emphasized the significance of Ghana Post's role in employment generation and national development. He noted that hundreds of workers across the country owe their livelihoods to the organization, a testament to Otumfuo's unwavering commitment to job creation and economic empowerment.

In recognition of Otumfuo's invaluable contributions, Ghana Post has scheduled a special event on Saturday, May 4, 2024, to honor him on the occasion of his 25th Anniversary of ascension to the Golden Stool. As part of the tribute, Ghana Post plans to unveil a commemorative postage stamp, symbolizing Otumfuo's magnanimity and the enduring legacy of his reign.
