Founder of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has opened up on frustrations being encountered in his organisation's line of work to fight for the people.

Founded in March 2004 as a Think Tank, IMANI has been fighting for the interest of Ghanaians by asking relevant questions and holding those in power accountable.

Recently, some Ghanaians have criticized IMANI and accused some members of hypocrisy amid persistent, irregular, and unpredictable electric power outages (dumsor).

In a post on Facebook, Franklin Cudjoe has revealed how the people IMANI has been fighting for are now turning around to fight IMANI.

He notes in his post that very soon IMANI may shut down and allow the corrupt people in government to have their way.

“This IMANI job ankasa no dey pap koraa. The people you think you are fighting for are always fighting you. Haba!!

“Skin pain people say we be nobodies, we no get influence. Yet dis same people call on us to talk about serious issues of governance lest things go so wrong. as if they feed you. Cognitive dissonance!!

“Soon we all go close shop and allow the looters to have a field day. Maybe we will become good at putting together crookish deals,” Franklin Cudjoe said in his post.

In the comment section of the post, some Ghanaians shared their views, making it clear to Franklin Cudjoe that IMANI is being fought because of some double standards.

“Our hypocrisy and double standards are the reason! When Mahama was in power everything was him but now it's a different story,” Abubakari Tahiru said in the comment section.

Another Facebook user with the username Enoch Relwende also said, “They fight you because you’re pretending to be fighting for them but have a hidden agenda. Now time has exposed you.”
