The Economic Advisor and Spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Gideon Boako has delivered a message of hope to Ghanaians regarding the persistent power cuts, locally termed as "Dumsor.”

Boako assured citizens that the electricity supply issues plaguing the nation will be resolved by the end of April.

During an interview on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Boako expressed his optimism, stating, "The information I have and from where I sit, I know the power cuts are likely to end by the end of this month."

Despite his positive comment, Boako did not shy away from acknowledging the challenges faced by businesses due to irregular power supply.

He particularly criticized the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for its failure to provide consumers with a timetable to plan their activities accordingly.

Boako emphasized the importance of clear and transparent communication from utility providers stating, "Ghanaians need concise, explicit communication…we should be able to tell people that this is the problem and by this time, by this date, the problem will be solved.”
