The Ashanti regional Chief Imam has given valuable advice to the youth, urging them to shun violent behaviors that could lead to trouble.

During the closing ceremony of Eid-ul-Fitr, Chief Imam Haroum Mumin emphasized the core principles of peace and unity embedded in the Muslim religion, urging adherents to embody these values in their actions.

While acknowledging the significance of the 30 days of fasting observed by Muslims, Chief Imam Mumin expressed concern over certain youth who exhibit overly exuberant behaviors post-fasting, potentially endangering society.

He specifically cited instances such as reckless motorcycling in urban areas and engaging in games that often escalate into violence, which tarnishes the image of the religion.

With the conclusion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Chief Imam emphasized the importance of celebrating joy in moderation, aligning with the principles of the religion.

Regarding the upcoming general elections on December 7, 2024, Chief Imam Mumin reiterated his strong advice for the youth to eschew violent tendencies, citing the teachings of the Holy Quran against such behaviors.

He cautioned against being swayed by politicians offering financial incentives to incite trouble during and after elections, stressing that elections are a democratic process where citizens exercise their right to choose leaders peacefully.

As believers of Allah, Chief Imam emphasized that prioritizing peace and unity is essential for fostering harmonious coexistence within society.

He also urged parents to counsel their children against violent inclinations as the election approaches, emphasizing the importance of promoting a peaceful electoral process.
