Bono East: Four injured after hearse transporting corpse crashes into a truck

There has been an accident in the Bono East Region involving a hearse transporting a dead body.

The accident which occurred at Kintampo has left four people injured including the hearse driver.

According to reports gathered so far, the driver is in a critical condition as he battles for his life at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital.

The remaining three people who also sustained various degrees of injuries are receiving treatment at the same health facility.

Doctors caring for the accident victims have described the response from patients as positive and expect to discharge all of them in no time.

Sources have indicated that the accident occurred when the hearse driver crashed into a truck while attempting to dodge a tricycle that crossed him.

While the corpse has been retrieved and transported by another hearse, the other mangled vehicle has been towed away to make the road safe.
