National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has noted that he has learned an important lesson from the death of Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah.

According to him, he now carries his water wherever he goes as a precaution against getting poisoned.

The Member of Parliament for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region died on March 7 while on his way to Accra to fly to Germany for medical care.

After his passing was confirmed, it was alleged that he was poisoned.

Although his wife would later debunk that allegation, Johnson Asiedu Nketia says he has decided he will now carry his water wherever he goes to avoid being poisoned.

“John Kumah’s death is part of the reason why I carried my own water to this place. These days everyone must carry their own water. Recently I saw a video of Nana B where he refused to take water that was being offered to him. So now everyone is being careful,” Johnson Asiedu Nketia said in an interview with Asempa FM on the ‘Ekosii sen’ programme.

In the interview, Johnson Asiedu Nketia argued that after several allegations of possible poisoning leading to the death of John Kumah, many people should have been arrested.

The NDC National Chairman is of the view that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi should answer questions on John Kumah's death.
