Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that he is saddened by the passing away of the wife of the National Chief Imam, Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu.
In a post on his Facebook page, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer extended his condolences to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
He prayed for Allah to grant Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu Jannatul Firdaus.
“I have learnt with sadness, the passing of our dear grandmother and beloved wife of the National Chief Imam, Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu.
“Hajia Samira Bawumia and I extend our condolences to His Eminence, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and the entire family.
“May the Almighty Allah welcome our dear grandmother and grant her Jannatul Firdaus,” Dr. Mahamaudu Bawumia said.
