Popular American live streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat has landed in Ghana as part of his African content creation tour.

The 22-year-old content creator was given a traditional Ghanaian welcome upon his arrival in the country.

“Kai Cenat, known for his entertaining live streams and comedic content on YouTube, has arrived in Ghana to #ExperienceGhana and #ShareGhana especially the globally acclaimed Ghana Jollof," the Ghana Tourism Authority wrote via X on Wednesday, March 13.

In photos shared along the post, Cenat was seen dressed in traditional Ghanaian attire and adorned with beads as local dancers entertained him at the airport.

The Brooklyn native has amassed over 6 million YouTube subscribers and millions of followers across social platforms through his comedic gaming live streams.

His visit to Africa began after being spotted cruising with Nigerian music star Davido in Lagos during his 4-day stay in the country.

Ghana is actively promoting tourism through initiatives such as 'Year of Return' in 2019 and 'Beyond the Return' to encourage the return of members of the African diaspora.

The campaigns aim to tap into the heritage tourism segment to shine a spotlight on Ghana's historic role in the transatlantic slave trade and showcase opportunities for investments and cultural exchanges.

Cenat's tour of Ghana is expected to give a boost to these efforts through exposure to his massive young global audience across social media platforms.

His take on local culture and cuisine from Ghana could also help drive interest among African Americans seeking to explore their ancestral roots.
